West Michigan Birth Doula Support for the Birth You Want
Serving Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Holland, Fremont, and surrounding West Michigan communities.
Medicaid • Tricare • Carrot accepted -- your doula care may be covered at no cost to you.
You don't need someone to tell you how to give birth. You need someone who will listen, help you understand your options, and stay in your corner.
Birth Support That Centers You
Birth doesn't follow a script -- and neither should your support.
Whether you're planning a hospital birth, home birth, epidural, unmedicated birth, induction or cesarean, I'll help you understand your options and prepare for what matters most to you.
My role isn't to make decisions for you. It's to help you feel informed, supported and confident making them yourself.
I'll support you with evidence-informed information, hands-on comfort measures, emotional reassurance, and a steady presence throughout your pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum experience.

Hi, I'm Alysha.
I'm the doula behind Amaryllis Doula Services.
I became a doula because I believe people deserve to feel heard, respected, and supported during one of the biggest experiences of their lives.
I'm not here to be a savior, and I'm not here to tell you what your birth should look like.
I'm here to stand beside you.
That might mean helping you prepare for the birth you're hoping for. It might mean helping you find your voice when plans change. It might mean reminding you to breathe, helping your partner know what to do, or simply being the calm person in the room when everything feels overwhelming.
You remain the decision-maker. I'm here to help you feel confident in those decisions.
Experienced, Prepared & Continually Learning
I'm a DONA-certified birth doula with additional certifications, training, and experience in areas including:
Body Ready Method®
Birth and labor support
Bereavement support
NICU support
TENS use for labor
Inclusive and LGBTQ+ affirming care
Military family support
I've also supported families through births in hospitals, birth centers, and home settings throughout West Michigan.
Your Insurance May Cover Your Doula
Worried that doula support is outside your budget?
It may not be.
I accept Michigan Medicaid plans including Priority Health, Molina, Meridian, Blue Cross Complete, United, Aetna, and McLaren, as well as straight Medicaid. I also accept Tricare and Carrot as well as HSA/FSA. There are even some commercial insurance plans that cover doulas!
If you're eligible, your doula care may be covered at no cost to you.
I'll help you understand your options and determine whether your coverage can be used for doula services
