Birth Doula at Holland Hospital & Boven Birth Center
If you're planning to give birth at Holland Hospital's Boven Birth Center, I'm here to help you feel prepared, supported, and confident as you navigate labor and birth.
I've attended a few births at Holland Hospital, including inductions, medicated vaginal births, and an unplanned Cesarean. I have no problem navigating the hospital, although finding your way in from the ER entrance can be a little confusing at first. Once we're where we need to be, I'm comfortable with the space and ready to support you.
Supporting You Through Different Birth Experiences
Birth doesn't always follow the plan you started with. I've supported families at Holland through inductions, medicated births, and an unexpected change to a Cesarean. My job isn't to make your birth go a certain way. It's to stay with you through whatever happens, help you understand your options, and provide steady support when things feel uncertain.

Preparing for Labor
Many of my Holland clients are first-time parents, and with that comes plenty of questions about what labor will actually be like. Before your birth, we'll talk through comfort measures, positions, your preferences, and ways your partner can support you. Your birth plan is in-depth, but we'll also talk about staying flexible when birth takes an unexpected turn.
You don't have to know exactly what you'll want ahead of time. We can figure things out together as your labor unfolds.
Support for You and Your Partner
Whether you're hoping for an unmedicated birth, planning an induction, expecting to use medication, or simply trying to prepare for whatever comes your way, I'll be there to support you.
I'll provide hands-on comfort, encouragement, suggestions for movement and positioning, and a calm presence throughout your labor. I'll also help your partner feel confident in their role while making sure they have support, too.
You don't have to know exactly how your birth will unfold. You just need someone in your corner while it does.
A Birth I'll Always Remember
One of the births I attended at Holland was especially memorable because the baby boy had the same first name as my oldest son. It was one of those little moments that makes a birth stick with you long after you've left the hospital.
